Promoting independence and life enrichment opportunities

LIFE BEGINS AT 50, at least that’s what they say at CHEER - an independent, private non-profit agency serving the needs of mature adults in Sussex County, DE. Sussex County has a higher percentage of residents age 55 and over than many of the nation’s traditional retirement hot spots. The organization provides a variety of services to promote quality of life and independence. Their goal is to help people stay healthy, active and involved in the community.

“We have a great story to tell but needed help delivering it to members in the state legislature, potential customers in a younger demographic and to donors,” said Ken Bock, CHEER Deputy Director. “NCI developed a strategy for developing a series of short videos driven by sound bites from our clients and customers. There is nothing more powerful than your customers testifying to the quality of your programs.”

CHEER wanted to promote that its programs are not just for the homebound and the elderly, but also for baby boomers, private-pay customers, corporate clients, and the general public. NCI produced a series of topic-specific video vignettes to complement marketing efforts to each target audience. The videos are being used on DVD for face-to-face presentations, streamed on the agency website and used in local television productions.
